beautiful spirits, a stunning alchemy, some kind of magic, right down the line. i feel both fortunate and grateful to have been trusted to witness and document this day from the perspective of a friend, just a slice of a grander story. liz and i first met years ago at camp wandawega while working a wedding together (she was playing with the amazing gussied band and i was the photographer). we kept in instagram-touch, and years later when i moved to chicago i joined her bookclub. when i met kevin it was so clear he had the same gentle, soulful spirit as liz. i love how deeply personal this wedding day was. nearly every last detail was personal, handmade or heartfelt.
liz + kevin incorporated so many amazing DIY elements, including signage and the rings (!) made by liz. kevin’s aunt put together gorgeous floral arrangements, family made desserts, and friends officiated and DJed.
